Day 1 of Alex's Thanksgiving Break

****Do not read to young children, some scary moments included.***

Once upon a time existed a city of wonder, known as Washington DC, where everything important got voted on. And though she had spent several years visiting this city, one day Alex decided to brave the exciting land by herself. "How do I get there?" she wondered.
"By train, of course!" a magical fairy chimed in. So it was off to the train station for Alex.

Upon arrival, everything seemed so overwhelming: people running everywhere, children crying, and sparkly lights changing with each passing minute. Luckily Alex was directed to the longest line of all, by a helpful police officer.

All of a sudden, standing in line, someone shouted, "duck!" But there was no duck! Instead, approximately 25 men wearing all black and thick vests and helmets and goggles and guns came barreling through the train station. Knights in shining armor? Still the fear for her life was there. "I think we're going to die together," Alex said to the man in front of her. But he wasn't even humored by her concern. "They're filming a commercial," he droned.

And they all lived happily ever after.
